Women around the world are doing powerful things and setting examples for young girls and boys to push their limits, expand horizons and use determination and discipline to conquer their dreams.  Today we are celebrating 5 of the most iconic women in sports and their motivating words that inspire all of us to do more, be more.  

Serena Williams, Tennis

Serena has broken all stereotypes about female athletes, and has shown us what happens when you believe in yourself, work hard and keep moving forward. She is an icon, a legend and an inspiration for everyone!

 

Saina Nehwal, Badminton

An icon for many badminton players, Saina was unstoppable even after facing a knee injury that stood as an obstacle in her career. She has taught us to weigh our failures and successes wisely and be victorious even in the face of adversity. 

 

Megan Rapinoe, Soccer

The U.S. soccer team co-captain took the world by storm after scoring six goals to win the FIFA Golden Boot! She is the biggest advocate of gender equality in sports!

 

Candace Parker, Basketball

First woman to dunk in an NCAA tournament game, Parker led the Sparks to their first WNBA championship since 2002 alongside Alana Beard and Nneka Ogwumike in 2016.

 

Simone Biles, Gymnastics

Biles is considered the greatest and most decorated gymnast of all time. At a young age of 22, she has shown the world that age is just a number and how powerful of a force resilience can be when it comes to conquering your dreams!
